This page is the short version, in plain words. It covers how pay works, how feedback is checked, and exactly what we store about you.
Pay
The amount, the payment method and the payment date are stated in the invitation. You accept or decline after seeing them.
Paid activities state what you will be paid to look at something and share your thoughts. You see the amount before you accept.
On the date in the terms. If a payment is going to be late, we tell you before the date, not after it.
Nothing is taken from your pay for joining, for the platform, or for payment processing. No fee to leave either.
At no point does Lumen ask you for money. If anyone claiming to be Lumen does, it is not us — tell us at hello@lumeninitiative.org.
Reviews
The review steps are stated in the terms before you start. They are not invented afterwards.
For paid activities, the invitation explains what feedback is being asked for and how it is checked.
If feedback does not meet the stated requirements, you are told what was missing and why. If a decision looks wrong to you, you can raise it with the project's named contact and get an answer. Raising a question does not count against you.
Your details
A short, closed list. If it is not on this list, we do not hold it.
Why we hold it
To reply to you — answering an enquiry you sent. To run the list you chose — sending you the updates you asked for, in the language you picked.
We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to advertisers. We do not use them to train anything. If we ever need them for a third reason, we will ask you first.
Where third-party services are involved, they are suppliers who help us deliver the thing you asked for — email delivery, and payment when you are paid. They receive only the details needed for that purpose.
Your choices
Every email has a way out, and one click is enough. You do not have to explain why.
Email hello@lumeninitiative.org and ask us to delete what we hold. We will confirm when it is done.
You can ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you. It is a short list, as above.
If something is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
