What we believe
Dignity is
a design choice.
Meaningful participation begins with knowing what you are saying yes to.
That sentence decides everything else here. It means rates are published instead of hidden. It means the pay, the effort and the review steps are written down before you start. It means we say when something is not ready, rather than dressing it up as though it were.
It also means we would rather lose a signup than win one by leaving a false impression.

Who is behind it
A small team,
working in the open.
Lumen is run by a small independent team. There is no venture money, no growth target and no plan to sell your details — which is exactly why we can afford to say what is not finished yet.
We are building in the open: the pages here change as the plans take shape, and what is marked on the way genuinely is. If you want to know how something works, ask — hello@lumeninitiative.org reaches a person.

Nothing to buy in, at any stage, for anyone.
No promises we cannot keep
If we have not tested an earning figure, we do not publish one. Where a rate is not settled, the page says so.
No selling your details
What you send us is used to reply to you and manage the list you chose. That is all. The terms and privacy page covers it.
No chasing
If you ask to leave, you leave. No re-adding, no last-chance emails.
